Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TotoPDF website, tools and related services (the "Service"), operated by TotoPDF (operator details: update in Admin). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The service

TotoPDF provides online tools to convert, organise, edit, secure and optimise PDF and related documents. Many tools run entirely in your browser; others use our server engine. We may add, change or remove tools at any time. Some tools or limits are reserved for Premium subscribers.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information and keep your password confidential.
• You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us immediately at info@totopdf.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country (and at least 13).
• We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Your files and content

You keep all rights to the files you process. You grant us only the limited permission necessary to process them technically when you use a server-engine tool. Files are deleted automatically as described in our Privacy Policy.

You confirm that you have the right to process every file you use with the Service, and that doing so does not infringe anyone's rights or the law. Do not use the Service to remove protection from documents you are not authorised to access.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload malware, or files that are illegal, infringing or abusive;
• attempt to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service, bypass limits, or access it through automated means except via our documented API;
• use the Service to process content that exploits minors, promotes violence or violates privacy rights;
• resell the Service without our written permission.

6. Plans, payments and cancellation

• Prices and limits for each plan are shown on our Pricing page and may change with notice for future billing periods.
• Subscriptions renew automatically for card/PayPal payments until cancelled. Manual/local payments cover the paid period only.
• You can cancel at any time from your account; Premium remains active until the end of the paid period.
• Refund requests within 7 days of the first payment are reviewed case by case, subject to applicable consumer law.
• Payments are processed by third-party providers; we do not store full card details.

7. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, logos and text, is owned by TotoPDF or its licensors and protected by law. Open-source components are used under their respective licences. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks.

8. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Maintenance, updates or events outside our control may cause interruptions. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where possible.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of conversions. Conversion and OCR results depend on the input file and may not be perfect – always review important output. See our Disclaimer.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TotoPDF will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or loss of data, profits or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you have not paid. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify TotoPDF against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of anyone's rights.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence still apply.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will notify you in advance by email or on the site. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
