Why use TotoPDF PDF to Excel?

Column detection

Text is grouped into rows and columns using its position on the page.

Numbers stay numbers

Numeric cells are stored as numbers so formulas work straight away.

Sheet per page

Keep each page on its own sheet or stack everything into one.

No upload

Financial documents are processed locally in your browser.

Tips for clean spreadsheets

Tables with visible gridlines or consistent column spacing give the best results. If your PDF contains several tables per page, choose "one sheet per page" so each page stays separate and easy to check.

Need text rather than numbers? Use PDF to Word. To send the edited spreadsheet as a PDF again, use Excel to PDF.

Checking the result

Always scan the spreadsheet once after converting: confirm that totals add up and that dates were recognised correctly. Numbers that use commas as thousands separators are converted to real numeric values, so you can build formulas, pivot tables and charts immediately. Because the conversion happens in your browser, sensitive financial data such as salary slips and bank statements is never uploaded to a server.
